Which planet gives a government job?

The Sun above all, helped by a strong 10th house linked with the 6th, and by Jupiter or Saturn.

Can a weak Sun get a government job?

Yes — other factors such as a strong 10th lord, Jupiter or Saturn and the running dasha matter, and effort matters most.

Government Job in Kundli — Yogas for Sarkari Naukri

The combinations Vedic astrologers look for when asked about a government job: a strong Sun, links between the 6th and 10th houses, Jupiter and Saturn, and the dashas and transits that bring selection.

The Sun — planet of government

The Sun is the natural significator of kings and governments. A Sun that is strong — exalted in Mesha, in its own sign Simha, in the 10th house (where it gains directional strength) or in the 11th — is the first thing astrologers look for when someone asks about a government job.

Classical pointers

Links between the 6th house (service) and the 10th (profession) — the lord of one in the other, or both connected with the Sun.
The 10th lord strong and associated with the Sun, Jupiter or Saturn.
Jupiter aspecting the 10th house or its lord (stability, respected position).
Saturn well placed for long, secure service; Mars for police and defence; Mercury for banking and clerical services.
A strong 10th house in the Dashamsha (D10) chart.

When selection happens

Results for competitive examinations and appointments are traditionally expected in the dasha of the Sun, the 10th lord or the 6th lord, especially when transiting Jupiter passes over the 10th or 11th from the lagna or Moon.

What you can do

Astrology describes tendencies; preparation decides exams. Traditional remedies for the Sun are offering water to the rising Sun, reciting the Aditya Hridayam and respecting one's father and elders.

These are traditional principles of Vedic astrology. A real reading weighs the whole chart — lagna, house lords, divisional charts (especially the D10 Dashamsha for career), dashas and transits — so treat this as guidance and consult an astrologer for decisions.
